Day 1: Arrive in Arusha
Arrival, briefing and a quiet night at a garden lodge.
Day 2: Tarangire
A full day among Tarangire’s elephants and baobabs.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
Drive up to the highlands and descend into the crater for an afternoon game drive.
Day 4: Into the Serengeti
Cross the highlands via the Olduvai Gorge into the central Serengeti.
Day 5: Central Serengeti
A full day with the big cats of the Seronera Valley.
Day 6: Tracking the migration
Follow the migration herds and visit remote kopjes away from the main circuits.
Day 7: Fly south to Ruaha
Fly from the Serengeti to Ruaha National Park, connecting via Arusha. Late afternoon drive along the Great Ruaha River.
Day 8: Ruaha’s lions
A full day tracking Ruaha’s big lion prides and searching for wild dogs.
Day 9: On foot in Ruaha
A morning walking safari with an armed ranger, and an afternoon among the baobabs looking for kudu, sable and roan.
Day 10: Fly to Zanzibar
Fly to Zanzibar and spend the evening in Stone Town’s lanes and rooftop restaurants.
Day 11: Stone Town and the coast
Guided heritage walk and a spice farm visit, then on to the beach.
Day 12: Mnemba Atoll
Snorkel or dive the reefs around Mnemba Atoll, or simply relax.
Day 13: Beach at leisure
A free day with an optional sunset dhow cruise.
Day 14: Departure
Transfer to Zanzibar airport for your flight home.
